Cicely Richardson

[Verse 1]
Some folks shine like summer sun
Lifting everyone they meet
Jayla, Adam, and Jeff know
You're the rock beneath their feet
You grew up on a winding road
Still you found a song to sing

[Chorus]
Cicely, you carry the light
Pouring love on everyone in sight
Now let somebody pour it back to you
Joy and peace the whole way through
You got courage, you got strength inside
Hold your head up, girl, and let it shine

[Verse 2]
You're your daddy's first love, his pride
April loved you from the start
Mama loves you the best she can
You're the joy that fills her heart
Carrying groceries for Great Grandma
Bringing laughter through her door

[Chorus]
Cicely, you carry the light
Pouring love on everyone in sight
Now let somebody pour it back to you
Joy and peace the whole way through
You got courage, you got strength inside
Hold your head up, girl, and let it shine

[Bridge]
Desmond called you his little sis
He gave his tenderness to you
The world sees strong, but Nana and Papa see fragile too
So every night your Nana and Papa pray for you

[Verse 3]
San Diego on your own
You stepped out and made it home
Georgia porch, your Aunty sat with you
Spilling tea, laughing, high on life too
Gamer, actress, rapper, star
Betty Coup can take you far

[Chorus]
Cicely, you carry the light
Nana's first granddaughter, see your worth tonight
New roommates who love the stage like you
Joy and peace the whole way through
You got purpose, you got strength inside
Hold your head up, girl, and let it shine

[Outro]
You give and give, now let love in
Cicely, Nana and Papa love you, you're not alone
